DCT Trading is a member of ICA (International Cotton Association) and adheres to Control Union and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) standards.
ICA (International Cotton Association)
ICA began in 1841 in the city of Liverpool, England, where a group of cotton brokers and merchants established a set of regulations and rules to facilitate international cotton trading. Today, ICA stands as a leading international association and arbitration body for cotton trade. A significant portion of the world's cotton continues to be subject to international trade under the regulations and rules of the ICA. The association currently boasts over 600 members.
Thanks to its membership in ICA, the company can procure cotton from international cotton markets.
Organic Cotton Certification
DCT Trading has achieved the capability to sell organic cotton worldwide by complying with Control Union and GOTS audit standards.
BCI (Better Cotton Initiative)
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is an international non-profit organization and the world's largest cotton sustainability program. BCI brings together a wide range of stakeholders from producers to retailers to collectively work towards reducing the negative environmental and social impacts of cotton production and making the industry's future more secure. BCI's approach aims to achieve this goal by equipping farmers with necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to continuously improve agricultural practices. This includes ensuring compliance with internationally recognized standards in areas such as reduced pesticide use, efficient water management, soil health improvement, and enhancing the well-being of agricultural workers.
